What’s So Special About An Earth Globe? The most accurate picture of the world is on an Earth globe. Unlike a map which is 2 dimensional, an Earth globe is 3 dimensional and allows us the see the planet as it really is. We have all seen picture of our planet taken from outer space. But again these, along with the globes that can be viewed on a computer, are 2 dimensional and will never be able to convey the true look of the original. For those of us who cannot travel to outer space, the only way to see the planet as it really is; is to look at an Earth globe.
