A Desk Globe Adds Class To A Room

by guestpost on March 10, 2009

A desk globe is no longer something you keep on a child’s study table to help them learn geography. Today you can get a desk globe of just about any size – although 12 inches is the most common – and made out of any material. An antique desk globe will add to the character of a study or library and an illuminated one, besides being an unusual lighting feature in a living room, will also become a conversation piece. And, of course, the functional utility is never lost. While you can see a globe on a computer screen with just a few clicks, there is nothing like be able to see geography in 3 dimensions and actually touching a model of the Earth with your hands.
