Globes are no longer things that are in children’s rooms for use with their geography lessons. Globes, whether traditional or made up of decorative gem stones, can add character to studies, libraries and sitting rooms where they can become conversation pieces. Mother of Pearl and gem stone globes can add color to any part of a room where they are placed and those with internal lighting may be used to lighten an otherwise dark corner where other forms of lighting would look out of place or be too bright. While a globe can be simply placed on a table, keeping the idea of using one in mind when planning the décor of a room will allow you to use it for maximum effect.
